About Floating Market

Early in the morning, we embark on a sampan ride to the floating market, witnessing a breathtaking sunrise over a branch of the Mekong River. Immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere of Cai Rang, the largest floating market today, where locals trade fresh produce and goods.

Savor a true local breakfast right on the sampan, ordering a steaming bowl of noodle soup or Bánh Mì (Bread). With a cup of rich Vietnamese coffee in hand, embrace the authentic flavors of the Mekong while the river comes to life around you.

Next, we visit a traditional noodle-making village with over 40 years of history and try your hand at making glass noodles the traditional way.

Then, heading to the local land market to experience some tropical fruits and food.

Finally, we will go through the peaceful canal to relax and see the locals life.

Itinerary

Start: We begin at 5:40 AM from the pickup point.

1) Cai Rang Floating Market

Travel from the dock to Floating market via boat – Estimate to be 50 minutes depending on the tide.

Experience daily life on the water as you observe how goods are bought, sold, and transferred between boats. Get a glimpse into the unique lifestyle of the locals who call the river their home.

Indulge in delicious noodle soup and savor the true essence of Vietnamese breakfast, just like a local.

2) Traditional Noodle House

Duration: 30 minutes
Visit a traditional rice noodle house and discover the art of noodle making. Engage in local traditions and try your hand at making noodles yourself.

3) Stop at Pineapple Boat

Travel from the noodle house back Cai Rang floating market. We will stop to try fresh pineapple.

4) Land Market

Spend 30–40 minutes exploring the vibrant land market, where locals shop for the freshest produce. Experience an authentic slice of daily life in the Mekong Delta..

After exploring the market, head to the small canal for the next part of your journey.

5) Small Canal

Travel through the small canals by boat for 30 minutes, experiencing the peaceful waterways surrounded by lush greenery and local life.

Return from the small canal to the floating dock: approximately 30-40 minutes.
